Our Story
At Trophy Peak Fire Protection, we are guided by integrity, teamwork, and a deep commitment to our community. Proudly rooted in Nevada, our foundation is built on honest, reliable service. Established in 2006 by Mike Lee as FDI Backflow Specialist, our goal has always been clear: to provide the community with dependable and straightforward fire safety solutions—a principle that continues to drive us today.
In 2017, we expanded our services to encompass fire alarms and fire sprinklers, transforming into Trophy Peak Fire Protection. While other companies have been sold to large corporations, we’ve remained independently operated and dedicated to our community. Northern Nevada is more than just our service area—it’s our home, where our team lives, works, and raises their families. As one of the few locally owned, full-service fire protection companies in the region, we take pride in maintaining a strong, local presence.

Leadership
Mike Lee
FOUNDER
Mike Lee, our founder and industry expert, has dedicated over two decades to advancing fire safety solutions and remains deeply committed to the success of Trophy Peak. His extensive knowledge and hands-on experience have been instrumental in shaping our high standards and reliable service. Mike is an advocate for safety and quality, and his insights continue to guide our team toward excellence in every project.
When he’s not working, Mike is all about family and the great outdoors. He is an avid outdoorsman, you’ll often find him out in Nevada’s beautiful wilderness hunting and enjoying nature.
Joe Peterson
CEO
Joe joined Trophy Peak as CEO in April 2024, bringing with him a strong background in engineering and construction. He is a proud University of Nevada graduate and lifelong resident of Northern Nevada.
Joe spent 15 years at Jensen Precast in multiple roles including sales, engineering, and operations. Prior to joining Trophy Peak, Joe most recently served as VP of Manufacturing.
Joe is excited to help guide our growth into the future. When he’s not at work, you’ll probably find him spending time outdoors with family or playing sports.
Dan Dutra
Operations Manager
With a focus on efficient operations and quality service, Dan ensures our team has everything they need to get the job done. A dedicated San Francisco Giants fan and big supporter of Nevada Football, Dan brings his team spirit and passion to everything he does at Trophy Peak.
Jesse Blanco
Service Manager
With over 25 years of experience in fire protection, Jesse makes sure every project gets the expert attention it deserves. He is a wealth of knowledge and an excellent resource for our customers and our team. When he’s not at work, Jesse enjoys spending quality time with his family and cooking incredible meals.
Teena Sowers
Business Manager
Teena oversees the administrative operations at Trophy Peak, keeping everything organized and running smoothly. Known for her warmth and attention to detail, she brings a personal touch to her work. Outside the office, Teena enjoys time with her family and her dog, who’s a regular visitor at Trophy Peak.
